About the Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings began in 1948 as the Rochester Royals.  In 1957 the team moved to Cincinnati where they played until 1972 when they moved and became the Kansas City-Omaha Kings. In 1985 the team moved to their current location in Sacramento.  The team won the NBA title in1951.  Notable alumni include Nate Archibald and Oscar Robertson.  The Kings play in the Pacific Division.
