About the Texas Rangers

The Rangers began in 1961 as an expansion team known as the Washington Senators, replacing the original Senators that had just moved to Minnesota.  The team moved in 1972 to Arlington, TX and was renamed the Texas Rangers. The team has never appeared in the World Series.  Notable Alumni include pitcher Nolan Ryan.  The Rangers play in the American League West Division.
