the Montreal Expos
The Montreal Expos joined the National League as an expansion franchise in 1969 and were named for the Expo 1967. The team is the first non US team admitted to Major League Baseball. The team has never appeared in a World Series. The Expos are in the National League East Division. It was announced in September 2004 that the team will move to Washington D.C. for the 2005 season.
